Beach Kings was an indie sports film. The plot centered around Cameron Day (David Charvet), a has-been basketball player who gets a second chance at greatness in the world of beach volleyball. The film also stars Torrey Devitto (Chicago Med), Kristin Cavallari (The Hills), Jaleel White (Family Matters), and a slew of professional beach volleyball players.
We produced the film on a modest budget and were able to pull off some epic production values considering the limited scope. The release was timed for the 2008 Summer Olympics, and all 4 of the U.S. team gold winners made cameos!
The film was bought and distributed by MGM domestically. Curb Entertainment sold international rights (under the title Green Flash) at the Cannes Film Festival.
